Who is the data controller?
The organisation or individual that has requested SkillSet Ltd to provide you with access to the Learning Hub is the data controller. SkillSet Ltd acts as a data processor.
Why does the Learning Hub need to hold personal information?
We need to know who is using the system. This information is used to control access to the system. We also need to track the progress of your learning and possibly contact you to provide advice and guidance.
The system will hold your name, your email address, and records of your activity on the Learning Hub. It may include additional information required by whoever is paying for your access to the system. We hold this information to fulfil the contract to provide access to the elearning.
Who has access to my personal information?
The only people who will have access to your personal information on the Learning Hub are the data processor’s support team and representatives of the data controller.
How is my personal information kept safe and secure?
All of the data you submit to this site is exchanged using HTTPS and held on encrypted volumes within Amazon Web Services’ ISO27001 certified data centres.
How long is my personal information stored for?
We will keep your information for as long as your organisation is entitled to access the system. Following that, we will remove or de-identify your data within seven years.
How can I ask or complain about the use of my personal information?
Please contact the Learning Hub support team. The contact details are below. You can also complain to the Information Commissioners’ Office (ICO) if you think there is a problem with the way we are handling your information.
